Flavor: A Service: A Tea: A Solo dining: A I’m not a bagel lover but I had to get one of if I was at ‘Bagel Central.’ I was not disappointed. The blueberry bagel, cream cheese, oatmeal pancake (what a unique creation), and the hash browns (who doesn’t love a mixture of gold and sweet potatoes?) were all very well done. And then to offer cranberry-apple unsweet tea… it’s like they knew I was coming. What a great brunchy place!
Well, that seems I found where everybody in Bangor Maine goes for breakfast. There’s a good reason why everybody from Bangor goes to this place for breakfast. It’s because it’s delicious. It’s actually pretty affordable and delicious. The coffee is good!!! The seating is a little different just because you don’t know where you’re gonna get when you get it, however, everybody seems really kind and makes room as needed.
Bagel Central is such a chill and friendly place! When you walk in, you’re greeted by a counter where you place your order, surrounded by tempting sweets that make you want to try them all. It has that cozy, mom-and-pop feel, and the food tastes homemade—absolutely delicious!
I'm a guy who's eaten a lot of blueberry muffins in my life. After tasting their homemade, crunchy top, sugar dusted, and toasted blueberry muffin, I can honestly say this is the best muffin I have ever eaten in an establishment anywhere in 50 years. Will definitely be back for more of these delights! Be sure to get it toasted, and don't be shy on the butter. The coffee and bagels were also great, really appreciated the herbs on the everything bagel. But the blueberry muffin is the highlight here. Can't wait for more.
I love Bagel Central beyond words. Their bagels are amazing. We can smell them downtown when they are making them at night. It’s a mouthwatering smell. Not to mention their danishes! Their breakfast and lunch menus also have extremely solid picks for sandwiches, including, but not limited to, the Astoria (my personal favorite), the 33 Central Street, and the Penobscot. Love this place!!!
Food is all delicious and reasonable. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Went in on Saturday with my heart set on everything bagels, they were out. The staff told me I can call and order in the morning, tell them when I'll be in, and they will have it ready. Saved me from getting up at the crack of dawn on my day off to get there before the everything bagels are gone. 😊 If you haven't stopped in yet, you need to try it.
Bagel Central’s bagels are always so soft and fresh! I love getting the spinach and feta omelette with a blueberry bagel and cream cheese. They’re generous with their portions and I love how quick and easy it is to get a meal made to order in a laid back setting full of natural light and bustling with the sounds of community!
OK! So yes it was pretty legit - good bagels and seemingly the only food happening in all of Bangor! Get ready to wait but was worth it
Great place for breakfast! Bagels excellent, drip coffee was great, plus lots of other pastry options. They have tons of veggies to add in, I asked for all and got a HUGE sandwich. Vibe inside is 🔥. Something for everyone
A Bangor institution. It always smells absolutely amazing in here. This is honestly like a bakery and cafe/restaurant all mixed into one. Huge line on a Sunday morning. The display has tasty bakery treats on display. Take a look at the specials menu, usually there's something pretty good there. I ended up going with an everything bagel sandwich with egg, cheddar, and bacon. I loved it, so fresh, and the egg was fluffy, and not overcooked. Bagel was toasted just right. Definitely charged me up for the day. They also had green tea, and I'm a tea creature, so I enjoyed that. Definitely come here for breakfast if you've never been and you're in Bangor.
